Aerospace Industry in Georgia
Georgia is home to 238 aerospace-related manufacturing, parts and support companies with total employment of nearly 25,000. Major companies include Lockheed Martin, Gulfstream, Boeing, and Pratt & Whitney. From 2006 to 2010, seven aerospace companies opened new operations or expanded existing operations creating 2,000 new jobs.
