Plant Vogtle Supplier & Subcontractor Information Meetings

Register now to learn about supplier & subcontractor opportunities during the construction of Plant Vogtle Units 3 and 4 in Burke County.

Georgia Power and the co-owners of Plant Vogtle are moving forward with plans to build two new generating units at the nuclear power plant in Burke County. A consortium consisting of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC and The Shaw Group Inc.'s Power Group will provide the engineering, procurement and construction of the two approximately 1,100-megawatt units and related facilities at Plant Vogtle.

Georgia Power, Southern Nuclear and The Shaw Group will host several supplier & subcontractor information meetings in late 2009 and 2010 to familiarize local suppliers & subcontractors with the procurement process for the new construction at Plant Vogtle. These meetings will provide:

  • Overview of the Plant Vogtle construction project
  • Opportunities for suppliers & subcontractors to provide necessary products, materials and services
  • Details about the supplier & subcontractor registration process
