Georgia Power and Atlanta Braves complete third summer of Summer Slugger

Georgia Power and the Atlanta Braves teamed up to bring exciting enrichment opportunities to fourth and fifth graders through the Summer Slugger Program. The baseball-themed, interactive digital learning course reinforces key math and reading skills during the summer months, a time when students can experience learning loss in those areas. As part of Summer Slugger, Georgia Power’s Learning Power program coordinators will educate students on energy efficiency by sharing tips on how to reduce energy use. The Summer Slugger initiative is incorporated into enrichment programs at participating schools and nonprofits.
