Georgia Power focuses on supporting causes contributing to the well-being of the communities we serve. Our Company Representatives determine which local organizations to invest in by directing funding where it has the most impact.

We will invite you to apply through our online application portal system if your grant or sponsorship request is accepted.

Step 1: See if you're eligible

Georgia Power Sponsorship and Georgia Power Foundation Grant Guidelines

Please read our Grant and Sponsorship Guidelines and Application Process steps below for an overview of our eligibility process:

  • Grant requests are accepted by invitation only.
  • We do not provide grants and sponsorships to individuals, private elementary or secondary schools, and religious organizations, nor do we fund political campaigns or causes. We support certain 501(c)(3) organizations and governmental agencies.
  • We do not support organizations whose policies or actions discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
  • Grant and sponsorship requests up to and including $25,000 are evaluated on an ongoing basis.
  • Requests greater than $25,000 must be reviewed and approved by the appropriate board or committee, which meets in May, August, and December. All grant applicants are notified by the end of the month after each respective board meeting.
  • Tax-exempt organizations may receive contributions once per year period and reapply on an annual basis.

Workforce for Georgia Signature Program

The Workforce for Georgia program supports college and career academies and school districts in the state of Georgia with CTAE programs to meet the workforce needs of local industries and businesses.

Waters for Georgia Signature Program

The Waters for Georgia program invests in water quality improvement projects resulting in measurable benefits to environments and communities across Georgia. 


There are no current RFP programs at this time.

Teachers for Georgia Signature Program

The Teachers for Georgia program supports organizations and educational programs focusing on recruiting and retaining black male educators. Georgia Power Foundation partners with designated organizations that focus on this initiative.

This is not an RFP program.
