The foundation is an independent legal entity providing grants to non-profit organizations primarily in the state of Georgia.
Citizens Chapter legacy projects and the Annual Community Impact award are two ways the Georgia Power Foundation also supports volunteerism. Through engaging hands-on projects, we strengthen bonds with non-profits and support diverse communities in meaningful ways. Whether through legacy projects, board membership, or community service projects, Georgia Power staff and retirees continue to make a lasting difference in our communities.
Two of our volunteer organizations, Citizens of Georgia Power and Georgia Power Ambassadors, consists of Georgia Power and Southern Company employees, retirees, and their spouses, who are dedicated to making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work.
