About

A Citizen Wherever We Serve

We are committed to keeping our communities powered 24/7.

And because of that commitment, we are constantly working on innovative ways to generate and store energy, update our electric grid to make it smarter and more resilient, and restore power safely and quickly after an outage.

“This state has been our home for nearly 140 years, and we are proud to serve Georgia clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to our 2.7 million customers.” - Kim Greene, President and CEO of Georgia Power

Grid Investment Plan

  • Improved reliability for 160,000 customers
  • Replaced over 13,600 poles
  • Installed nearly 1,400 smart devices
  • Installed over 345 miles of underground lines

Outage and Storm Center

Report an outage, access the outage map, and learn about how we respond to storms, our restoration process, and what you can do before, during, and after a storm.

If you’re currently experiencing an outage, know that we’re working to fix it.

Generating Energy

Georgia relies on a diverse mix of energy sources to power its millions of homes and businesses. Our renewable, carbon-free, and reliable fuel sources allow us to address seasonality and manage a reliable grid.
