Workforce for Georgia Grants

Since 2020, The Georgia Power Foundation, Inc. has supported College & Career Academies (CCA) and school districts with one or more Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) programs in the state of Georgia through the competitive Workforce for Georgia grant program.

Through this funding, the Georgia Power Foundation, Inc. seeks to invest in building or sustaining capacity at CCA and CTAE to better serve students and instructors and in program alignment of educational and training pathways to meet workforce needs of businesses in local communities. The Georgia Power Foundation, Inc. issued these Requests for Proposals in partnership with the Georgia Foundation for Public Education in 2020, 2022, and 2024 and has since awarded over $2 million in grant funding. 

The third RFP closed on April 16, 2024. The Foundation anticipates opening a new cycle in 2026.

Applicant Eligibility

The Georgia Power Foundation, Inc. will consider proposals meeting the following criteria:

  • Public schools, school systems, or College & Career Academes in Georgia; private schools are not eligible.
  • Only one submission per school is allowable. More than one application per school district will be allowed.
  • The Georgia Power Foundation, Inc. does not support organizations whose policies or actions discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability.
  • The Georgia Power Foundation, Inc. does not support projects designed to mitigate legal or regulatory compliance obligations or tied to ongoing legal or regulatory action.
