We will be upgrading your metering equipment

These upgrades are an essential part of our ongoing effort to improve service. Here are some frequently asked questions and what you should expect during this upgrade.


Who will be working at my home?

NexGen Energy Services
We've partnered with NexGen Energy Services to perform the meter change at your home. They're an authorized contractor, and their logo will be displayed on their ID badge and vehicle identification. Contractors will be carrying a card with project information and a QR code that links to this website.


Will someone need to enter my home or location?

A technician will require access to your meter so that they can perform the necessary upgrades. Granting them access will enable us to perform the upgrade as scheduled. If we cannot access your meter, we will leave a door hanger at your residence. This door hanger will include details on how to schedule your meter upgrade.

How long will work be in my area?

You will receive an email and postcard to notify you that work will begin soon. The completion time in your area can vary, typically ranging from 8 to 10 weeks.

Will my power be out during this upgrade?

While we intend to complete the upgrade task as quickly possible with minimal disruption, you may experience a brief outage during the process. This is for the safety of you and our crews. 

How long will the meter change work take at my home?

Work will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
