Georgia Power and Atlanta Hawks' Trae Young team up for Learning Energy Efficiency

Georgia Power and Atlanta Hawks are committed to having a positive presence throughout the community and partnered to surprise students at Rosel Fann Recreation Center in Atlanta with Learning Power. The program strives to contribute to student’s academic achievement, educate students on energy efficiency and build awareness around careers in the energy industry. The presentation was followed by a Q&A with Trae Young and a basketball skills clinic.

Since kicking off in 2011, Learning Power has reached over 650,000 students across the state of Georgia. Our 16 statewide Education Coordinators deliver hands-on, STEM-based energy and energy efficiency lessons at all grade levels, Pre-K through high school. These experiences align with the Georgia Standards of Excellence in science and math, and make parents, teachers, and students aware of STEM opportunities and career paths.
