Georgia Power and Atlanta Hawks Host Pop-Up Event for University Career Services Day

In partnership with the Atlanta Hawks, Georgia Power held a pop-up event at Clark Atlanta University's campus in late February 2018. They were joined by Georgia Power's employee resource group, VOICE, to share career advice and opportunities available at Georgia Power.

Students were treated to appearances by Harry the Hawk and the Atlanta Hawks cheerleaders. The pop-up event also featured a photo booth for students to take and post selfies, as well as a pop-a-shot basketball game.

Students were able to challenge each other to see who could make the most buckets in 60 seconds, winning prizes such as Hawks tickets, VIP experiences to Hawks games, Georgia Power prize bags, and interview starter kits.

Formed in 2014, VOICE is Georgia Power's African American employee resource group (ERG) and supports the recruitment, development and retention of African American employees.
