Georgia Power Hosts Workforce Development Summit for Local Technical Colleges

Georgia Power, in partnership with EV charger service business “ChargerHelp!,” hosted an in-person workforce development event July 5-8 at Georgia Power’s Georgia Experience Center (GEC) in Atlanta

The event was facilitated by Georgia Power’s Workforce Development and Education Customer Solutions, Electric Transportation, Supplier Diversity and Economic Development teams. With the aim to educate local technical college students (namely from Georgia Power’s partnership with Atlanta Technical College) on EV infrastructure, eight students were awarded certificates on Friday in a ceremony marking the end of the event

As a part of the summit, students completed their training series and capstone requirements to prepare them for a future in charging service, maintenance and operability of both hardware and software devices.

ChargerHelp! is a minority-owned company based out of California that provides on-demand repair, service, and maintenance for EV charging stations. Their goal is to prepare a workforce that attracts talent ready to help pioneer the future of technology
