Plant McManus

Plant McManus began commercial operation in the 1950s in Glynn County, Georgia and the two steam units were retired in 2015. The remaining nine oil-fired combustion turbines are capable of producing 480 MW of electricity.

Ash Pond Dewatering Plan

The company prepares and submits an ash pond dewatering plan to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division for its approval. This site-specific plan identifies the enhanced water treatment system, controls and monitoring that will be used during the closure process to ensure that the water discharged is fully protective of a receiving stream's water quality.

Ash Pond Dewatering Results

Discharged water is being actively sampled in compliance with federal and state regulations. Data results will be updated as the process continues.
