With the NEW Income-Qualified Community Solar program, corporate sponsors will subsidize a portion of the monthly subscription cost to allow income-qualified customers to enjoy similar benefits as customers who own their own solar panels.

Georgia Power's Income-Qualified Community Solar program costs $6 per 1 kilowatt (kW) block per month. Eligible customers will receive one block, no additional blocks will be granted.
With the corporate sponsorship, many income-qualified customers will receive greater savings than our standard community solar program participants
The monthly production of a 1 kW subscription block is estimated to be in the range of 115– 215 kilowatt-hours (kWh), with the average monthly production estimated to be 165 kWh. Note that solar production can vary due to the sun's angle, time of year, the number of cloudy days in the month, and other factors.
Your Georgia Power bill will include a line item showing your monthly subscription fee and your pro-rata share of the farms' solar generation (in kWh) during the month, which will offset your electric consumption. Please note that your bill will still include charges for your remaining monthly energy usage, according to your existing residential rate, including any applicable taxes, franchise fees or environmental costs.
